Terms of service

1. Provider

These Terms govern use of the website and service at trusthawk.eu (the "Service"), operated by MGROUP, s.r.o., Ponická ulica 2, 974 01 Banská Bystrica, Slovak Republic, Company ID 45859922, VAT SK2023122618, registered at Commercial Register of the District Court Banská Bystrica, Section: Sro, Insert No. 19080/S (the "Provider", "we").

2. Nature of the service

TrustHawk is an informational scam-risk indicator based on public signals, community reports and automated analysis. TrustHawk does not provide legal advice, credit scoring, background checks in the regulated sense, or a certified verdict on any person or company.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service in good faith and lawfully. You shall not:

  • submit knowingly false reports or defamatory content;
  • harass, threaten or dox individuals;
  • attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • upload personal data of third parties beyond what is strictly necessary for a scam report.

4. User-generated content

You retain rights to content you submit and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, moderate and process it to operate the Service and prevent fraud. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Subscriptions and consumer withdrawal

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU. By starting to use a paid plan during the withdrawal period you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal ceases once the service has been fully performed.

6. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Risk indicators are heuristic and may be incomplete or incorrect. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties.

7. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or intentional misconduct). Otherwise, our aggregate liability towards a paying user is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the consumer's country of residence. The competent courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction, subject to the same reservation.
